It was only a matter of time before we went showbiz: ESSV is going to have its own cable presentation that will capture the essence of what the Los Cabos luxury lifestyle is all about (and—not coincidentally—that describes the lifestyle that we deliver to our customers daily).

The broadcast is a part of Ultimate Destinations, itself a spin-off of the popular television show “Better Living,” seen on Time Warner Cable, Adelphia, & Cox Cable. Typical viewers enjoy traveling and have the discretionary income to take three or more trips per year.

ESSV's 30-minute segment will be called "Los Cabos: Luxury at Land's End" and will air once a week for 52 weeks on Time Warner Cable, channel 99, in Los Angeles County (Hollywood, Beverly Hills,  Marina del Rey, Santa Monica, etc.) The first showing will be the first Saturday in February. The program may also air in New York on Time Warner channel 35. The show will be presented in the 16:9 aspect ratio that gives it a widescreen, cinematic feel.

The broadcast will put the glories of Los Cabos before the eyes of an interested audience, and we hope renew attention for veterans of travel to all that's happening at Baja's tip, as well as spark interest in those who have only heard rumor of the good times to be had there. ESSV has long employed multiple means to get its message of Los Cabos fun out to the widest audience, and our latest offerings ensure that trend continues. Following on the heels of our new 154-page Vacation Guide, we are putting the final touches on our 2007 Insider Pocket Guide and our 2007 Villa and Resort Vacations DVD.

The Insider Guide will be approximately 60 pages of useful, practical information covering the best of what Los Cabos offers, direct from the recommendations of ESSV staff members, who have years of charting the trends and tastes of the area. The guide will cover activities, beaches, restaurants, nightlife and shopping, as well as supply maps, helpful phone numbers, Spanish phrases and traveler's tips. Our publication date is March 1st.

If a property is named "Goddess of the Moon," it really has to have a lot going on to live up to its billing. DG Lounge Is Darn Good
There's a new club in Cabo that knows its way around a classic (and a contemporary) martini. DG opened with a bang on New Year's Eve, and has been soothing the souls—and throats— of needy revelers ever since.

DG's advertising also promises "intellectual nightlife, with eclectic and live music." It's not often that "intellectual" and "nightlife" are in the same sentence—let's wish them well on that end. Besides the intellectual offerings, they also serve tapas.

The DG is located at Misiones del Cabo, at Km. 5.5 on the Transp. Highway. Give 'em a call at 145-8160 and tell them to chill the shaker.
