Eight beautiful courses — designed by some of the most recognized names in golf — stretch along the scenic 25-mile corridor between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo. Once you step out onto the green in this golfer’s paradise, you’ll soon discover why Golf Digest declared it to be one of the world’s top 15 golf destinations.

Cabo courses have much to offer golf enthusiasts — stunning views of the Sea of Cortez and mountains, perfect year-round weather, dramatically changing landscapes, and a variety of challenging holes, bunkers and tees built right into the natural terrain.
Golf in Los Cabos has made great strides since the 1992 opening of Los Cabos' original true resort course, the 18-hole Palmilla, designed by Jack Nicklaus. Palmilla has since expanded to a 27-hole course, while Nicklaus has crafted another of the great world-class courses in the area: Cabo del Sol's Ocean Course.
The Ocean Course, with its trio of famous finishing holes, is easily the most sought-after premium golf experience in Los Cabos, and since its debut in 1994 has become a fixture among the world's top 100 courses. During the winter months, golfers can expect to spot gray whales frolicking on the horizon.
Soon the Los Cabos golf haven attracted other notable designers: Tom Fazio, Robert Trent Jones Jr., the Dye Corporation and Tom Weiskopf.
Fazio built the private Querencia course, with its 26,000 sq ft clubhouse overlooking the Sea of Cortez. Making the most of its changing elevation, the designer looped corridors around deep gullies filled with local vegetation and cactus. We'll be booking this course in the near future.
Jones' carefully designed 18-hole Cabo Real has proven one of the most challenging courses in Baja. Its 9-hole course features elevated jungle tees over ribbon fairways flanked by impenetrable desert.
Mayan Palace Resort's 9-hole green was originally the San José municipal course built by FONATUR, the government tourism development agency. It is perfectly suited for intermediate and beginner golfers, with spectacular ocean and mountain views.
The Cabo San Lucas Country Club's (formerly the Raven Golf Club) 18-hole course sits on an elevated parcel overlooking El Arco (the Arch) and the Pacific Ocean. The course demonstrates the Dye Corporation’s flair for the dramatic, with its challenging sand traps and legendary par five 16th hole, which doglegs sharply to the right.
Weiskopf’s 18-hole Desert Course at Cabo del Sol — his first in Mexico — debuted in 2002. The course combines breathtaking scenery with holes that require skill and precision. Cabo del Sol is master planned to ultimately feature four courses, with the two by Nicklaus and Weiskopf already completed.
