Loreto Airport Transfers When you arrive, a representative from C and C Ground Services and Tours will be waiting inside the airport terminal with a handheld sign and wearing blue or cream shirts—or you can find them at the C and C Ground Services and Tours desk at the airport. Transfers are per person. Shuttle departure times coincide with your flight arrival time. Wheelchair accessibility: C and C Ground Services and Tours vans and the hotel shuttle equipment are not equipped to accommodate handicapped passengers with wheelchairs. Desert Hiking in “El Tular”
After a 15-minute van ride from your hotel to the Canyon of “El Tular” desert trail, we’ll take a spectacular hike through two ecosystems—the enchanting desert mountains and a beautiful arroyo. The watershed of this area has nourished rare medicinal plants and ancient cacti. The geology and hydrology of these hills has produced a uniquely fertile soil in the arroyo, where we’ll meander and enjoy the lush natural beauty. This desert exploration will last 2 hours (round-trip).

Morning City Tour
On Highway #1 South, we travel to the Frida Viewpoint for a panoramic vista of the National Marine Park of Loreto where the five neighboring islands can be observed in the sparkling Sea of Cortez. On our return to town, we learn about the history of the Peninsula. Within the town of Loreto, we’ll tour the historic streets and the local pier. With more than 300 hundred years of history, since the arrival of the Jesuit Missionaries, the “Nuestra Senora de Loreto Concho” Mission has borne witness to Loreto’s fascinating history. We’ll end our tour at the “Museo de las Misíones.” The total tour time is 45 min.

Extension to City Tour: Learn to Prepare Tortillas and Ceviche Learn how to make delicious Baja-style tortillas and ceviche under the guidance of a local expert. We provide all the ingredients and some advance preparation. You’ll learn the fine art of molding tortillas and spreading them on a Mexican comal (traditional griddle). For the ceviche, we’ll guide you in combining beans, tomato, onions, nopal cactus and other tasty and healthy ingredients. Also included is one margarita per person and lots of fun! With the exception of the Frida Viewpoint, we’ll follow the same itinerary as the morning tour but with the addition of a delicious gourmet dinner. Menu options include a seafood platter, steak, vegetarian, chicken or other choices.

San Javier Tour
Just 36 kms into the Sierra La Giganta, lies one of the best preserved Jesuit Missions—“Misíon de San Francisco de Javier Vigge Biando”. The dirt access road into the mountains will allow us to visit a small cave painting site, a traditional artesian water-well farm, as well as serene views of rock formations and desert habitats. At midday, we enjoy a hearty lunch of beef burritos, goat cheese and fresh tortillas. At the end of the day, you’ll be impressed by the natural splendor and cultural history of this remote and wildly beautiful area.

Join us for an odyssey into the northern desert of the peninsula, where you will swim and snorkel in the Bay Conception, visit the third Jesuit Mission “Santa Rosalia de Mulegé” and explore the only flowing river of the Peninsula, the 5 Km River of Mulegé. Within the town of Mulegé, there will be time to explore the narrow hilltop streets of the town and enjoy a delightful lunch at “Las Casitas” Restaurant.
