We're thrilled to congratulate our 2009 winner, Steve Drust of California, who enjoyed his grand prize of an unforgettable Cabo trip with his girlfriend, family and friends this summer.

When Steve first received the congratulatory phone call from Julie Byrd, our Director of Sales, he thought, “it was a joke or a time share presentation. It took a while for it to sink in.” Once reality hit and Steve shared the news with his family, Steve describes their reaction as “OMG, way too cool!” Before long, Steve, his girlfriend Janette, three daughters (Sara, Megan and Syndee), Sarah's boyfriend Jeremy and family friend Sarah Jane were packing their suntan lotion and bathing suits and setting course for the sunny shores of Baja.

Steve explains that he and his guests were speechless when they arrived at Villa Gran Vista; “The photos don't do it justice. The decorating alone is incredible.” A highlight of the trip included the whole family enjoying a “restaurant-quality Mexican dinner and breakfast around that huge dining room table with million-dollar views of the Pacific Ocean.” While much of their time was spent relaxing in the swimming pool or sharing quality time around the villa's fire pit, the group also took some time to enjoy sightseeing, snorkeling, shopping and jet skiing in Cabo San Lucas. What are Steve's favorite things about Cabo? “The short flight, great location on the sea, affordable gourmet dining and boat rides to the arch.”

Would Steve recommend the villa experience? The answer is an enthusiastic yes! Steve explains, "A villa is the only way to go, especially with a larger group. This was truly one of the best vacations of my life. We also had a caretaker on the premises at the villa, Fortunado. He was so helpful with everything and the Earth, Sea, & Sky Vacations staff was excellent."

Steve is looking forward to making a Cabo villa vacation an annual tradition.
