ESSV's New 2008 DVD
Dear Amigo Club Member:
Ultimate Destinations — Los Cabos TV Broadcast
Sensational photographs of the attractions of Los Cabos
are compelling indeed, but they really can't measure up to Cabo on the
move, as our new interactive DVD so spectacularly shows. You'll see Los
Cabos as it flies, springs, splashes, dives and dashes—the disk is
filled with the thrills of Los Cabos, all caught in dynamic footage of
ocean racing, off-road romping, deep-sea diving and a cluster of other
exciting recreational flings only found in Los Cabos.
activities aside, a goodly portion of the 51-minute disk is chockablock
full of sensational villas, resorts and condos, the likes of which
surround you in luxury appointments and amenities, like fantastic pools
with even more fantastic views, spacious spa tubs, first-class
appliances, and beautiful granite, marble and other stonework
This video footage is also the basis for our Los Cabos TV show, a 30-minute segment titled "Los Cabos: Luxury at Land's End," which will air once a week for 52 weeks on Time Warner Cable, channel 99 in Los Angeles County, and in New York on Time Warner channel 35. This is another venue for ESSV to put the glories of Los Cabos before the eyes of an interested audience. And to broaden that audience even more, we intend to put a copy of next year's DVD into every one of our 100,000 Vacation Guides.
All and all, watching all
the action on our new DVD is almost like being there. Almost. But
you'll really have to come to Cabo to see it in person. In the
meantime, click here to order our new DVD—FREE! Once those videos get you going, Cabo's charms will be waiting for you.

You can also view a "best of the best" version of the DVD on the TripAdvisor site. There you can check out a condensed version of the DVD, and if it strikes your fancy, you can give it a rating. (You'll have to sign in to TripAdvisor.) Of course, we're hoping you'll appreciate it, since it will give more people a sense of what makes Los Cabos so special.
Pocket the New Pocket Guide
There isn't just a new DVD in town—adding to our stack of Cabo notables, you can also download the 2008-2009 Insider Pocket Guide right from the Cabovillas site. It's 5.3MB of juicy Los Cabos goodies, such as our tips on the best restaurants, nightlife, beaches, recreational activities and all the kinds of things that make Los Cabos "holiday central" for so many happy travelers.
The guide is also rich with practical information, such as detailed maps for Cabo San Lucas, the Corridor, and San José del Cabo. There are helpful traveler's tips, a Los Cabos FAQ, a Spanish Helper, useful phone numbers and more. We'll issue a print version a little further down the line, but you can get the jump on things with just a click
And not to be outdone on the Pocket Guide, you can also view the entirety of the new Vacation Guide in your browser, online, through the same page you order the print version. The software allows you to move through every page, zoom in and out, and all the property links are live, so you can jump right to the property you're interested in. You can also choose to download the full version of the Guide and navigate it using a freely downloadable product called Zinio Reader, which is linked to the download.

property showcase: villa maravillosa
One of the newer entries in the Earth, Sea and Sky roster, Villa Maravillosa
has soared into the highest ranks, with its 8BR/10BA grandeur vaulting
it to the "Platinum 6+" star rating— and it doesn't get any better than
that. From its graceful archways to its beautiful tile roofing, this is
11,000 square feet of exquisite Hacienda-style design.
Everything about the villa is the highest quality,
from its rich use of granite and marble to the breathtaking views.
Dining inside and out is splendid, with capacity for 16 under the shade
structure, or in the beautiful dining area.
has two separate casitas and two apartments within its winning complex,
perfect for travelers with privacy needs. But of course there are
expansive central areas for groups as well. Wherever you hang your hat at Maravillosa, it's going to be a place of style and grace.
The photos on your website did not do justice to the thrilling views that captivated us on arrival at Villa Flamingo. The staff at ESSV, as well as everyone in the Pedregal community were most helpful, friendly and courteous.
would wake up before dawn, and with my coffee take in the view as the
fishing boats were leaving the harbor. I often saw a pod of dolphins
swimming just outside of the harbor entrance. On more than one
occasion, I saw whales breaching on the horizon.
also appreciated the ability to access the town from the pedestrian
gate just below our villa. With most of the town's best casual Mexican
restaurants, bars and shops within 5 blocks of our doorstep, the
location was absolutely perfect.
well-maintained pool, hot tub, and large room suites (with actually
comfortable king beds) only added to the bliss we all felt each time we
came home to our villa. Our experience with ESSV showed us that their
excellent reputation is well deserved. Our compliments.

Our week at Villa Taz was truly exceptional. The villa was the perfect size for our family of four couples and two young grandchildren.
view was spectacular, with many whales performing for us daily. We took
long walks every day on the beautiful beach that was just a short walk
The property has all the
amenities and comforts of home including two computers, free high-speed
Internet access, and free calls to the US. It is extremely well
maintained. The property manager and the daily staff are most
conscientious and helpful.
We will always remember our time at Villa Taz as a family highlight

Service, Size and Style on the Fanta Sea Catamaran
Cruising on Los Cabos waters got a BIG boost with the addition of the Fanta Sea
catamaran. "Big" is a helpful word-the Fanta Sea is 75 feet of graceful
substance, with a capacity of 175 people. It's available for great
snorkeling tours in lovely Santa Maria Bay, Sunset tours to Land's End,
and seasonal whale watching.
excursions include meals and gear when necessary. All this, and all
delivered with friendly and efficient service. Keep the Fanta Sea at
the top of your list when you want to sit on top of beautiful Baja
waters in top form.
Catch a Slice of the Sky from a Cabo Chopper
Looking for a bit of a different
angle on all things Los Cabos? How about a LOT of different angles, as
dramatic as they can be? You're in for a real thrill ride when you book
time on the The Caborey chopper by an experienced pilot who will treat you to all the
fabulous sights of Cabo—like the Arch, Medano Beach and the Marina,
offering commentary about the perspectives. There are sunset and
private Baja peninsula tours available as well. Get up, up and away!
School's Out for Surfing
they want a refresher course or even if they've never picked up a
board, water wannabes can absorb surfing tips and techniques at Mike Doyle's Surf School,
off of Km 28 in the Corridor. Doyle, holder of many world surfing
titles in the 60s and 70s, instructs in wave-riding methods daily,
along with his full staff.
The school has full equipment rentals and a restaurant. May the breaks be with you.
Café Santa Fe
Going a bit further out of town, there
is some very fine dining at Café Santa Fe, the renowned, authentic
northern Italian restaurant in Todos Santos. This is a place that's
been written up in Travel and Leisure and on some other notable travel
sites. The restaurant is in a beautifully renovated 1850s heritage
serve seafood, meats, homemade pastas, and even pizza, which is good,
because it can be pricey. Open for lunch and dinner, with a full bar.
It's at Calle Centenario #4, in Todos Santos.
The Sporting Life
There's a new Cactus Club Sports Bar at Tesoro that has a friendly staff, with good service and reasonable prices. Customers can check out the athletic action on 42-inch TVs, while they check out the range of concoctions from the happy bartenders.
There's no shortage of booze, and they sell snacks too. Check 'em out at the Tesoro Hotel, off Boulevard Marina, at 105-1205.
Denni's Delivers (Even to Acapulco)
The man behind all those fabulous in-villa meals, Denis of Denni's Catering, is getting some compliments from tastebuds out of the local area. Denis has been asked to join 6 other esteemed Los Cabos restauranteurs at the Tianguis Turistico travel trade show and conference in Acapulco in April.
This event, where industry buyers and suppliers meet, discuss products and services, and make contractual arrangments, is considered one of the most important events of the Mexican tourism industry.
