| The five-day World Championship Billfish Release Tournament promotes the use of circle hooks and releasing the fish alive, and has billfish conservation as its driving force. Monetary prizes awarded throughout the tournament are quite large, including a USD$1 million prize for catching a previously tagged billfish. |
