Golf in Los Cabos has made great strides since
the 1992 opening of Los Cabos' original true resort course, the 18-hole Palmilla, designed by Jack Nicklaus. Palmilla has since expanded to a 27-hole course, while Nicklaus has crafted another of the great world-class courses in the area: Cabo del Sol's Ocean Course.

Soon the Los Cabos golf haven attracted other notable designers: Tom Fazio, Robert Trent Jones Jr., the Dye Corporation and Tom Weiskopf.

Fazio built the private Querencia course, with its 26,000 sq ft clubhouse overlooking the Sea of Cortez. Making the most of its changing elevation, the designer looped corridors around deep gullies filled with local vegetation and cactus.
