Find everything you need to know when renting a vehicle with Avis

You’ll need: Your passport, a valid driver’s license for each driver, and the main driver’s credit card.

When you book with Avis, rates include: Unlimited mileage, Airport surcharge, VLF - Vehicle License Fee, and Telematic fee. Loss Damage Waiver (Zero deductible) is optional and strongly recommended for added protection.

Loss Damage Waiver is designed to waive your financial responsibility for any loss or damage incurred while driving the Avis rental car. Covers theft, vandalism or collision, there’s no need to file a claim with personal insurance or credit card and is not deductible for you to pay.

The minimum age is 25. There is no maximum age. Renters younger than 25 years old are subject to a young driver fee for all car groups, subject to tax and surcharges.

Drop-off hours are between 9:00 AM and 5:30 PM. Drop-offs outside of these hours are subject to approval.
Rental duration must be a minimum of 3 days and a maximum of 30 days.
Taxes, surcharges, and optional insurance are paid in Mexico and are subject to a 7.5% transaction fee.
Rates are based on a 24-hour clock. Additional hours will be billed at the time of drop-off.
Debit cards are accepted by CaboVillas.com for pre-payment only. At the Los Cabos Avis locations, only credit cards are accepted for insurance and any additional charges.
A credit card is required for a 30% authorization hold (deposit) when LDW insurance is purchased. Hold amounts may vary without LDW.
Rates are subject to a 3.75% booking fee.
