Cabo Down Under is a high-end surf company that delivers the very best of what Cabo has to offer. They offer surf lessons for total beginners & kids, as well as surf trips for intermediate and advanced surfers. Not into surfing but still want to get a taste of the real Mexico? The beach days are perfect for those wanting to experience the remote beaches of Baja. Kickback with a cold drink, play some corn hole or bocce, and swim in the pristine waters just out of San Jose!

We are not your standard surf company that has the cookie-cutter feel. We take the personal approach of creating a special experience for every single guest. Each booking is private, so you do not have to worry about others joining. With international guides that have extensive training and certifications, we raise the bar when it comes to delivering a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Surfing schedule: We always aim to surf at the best time of day, considering tides, winds, and swell conditions.

Wave selection: We choose locations based on your surfing ability and the daily conditions. With access to a variety of waves, we can accommodate all skill levels, sometimes at the same location. Travel times range from 10 minutes to 1 hour each way.

Minimum age: 5 years old. Younger children will tandem surf for safety and water confidence.

Special requests: If you have any specific requests for your trip, let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate them.

Transportation: Included for East Cape Surf Safari & Beach Days. A $110 per-group transport fee applies for Surfing Sanjo lessons.

Additional guides: Available at $250 per guide per tour.

These half-day trips are a must for any adventurers keen to see and experience the true Baja desert, filled with donkeys, cactus, and perfect waves. Designed for all ages and skill levels, guests are taken to the best waves of the day somewhere along the magical East Cape, making for the perfect half-day surf adventure.

What to expect for your skill level?

Beginners:
We will start with some beach preparation to refine your surfing pop-up then jump in the water and develop everything from your board control, paddling, and surfing technique. We take all the hard work out of surfing! We select, guide, position, paddle, and push you into the perfect waves so all you have to do is pop up and enjoy the ride!

Intermediate:
We can continue to develop your skill set by breaking down your technique, maneuvers, and positioning, and target key aspects of your surfing through in-water coaching. We can work on as much or as little as you like, but we will always share our extensive knowledge of each location, so you get the most out of the day.

Advanced:
We know this coastline inside out and will be able to put you on the best waves without you even having to look at the forecast. We take the guesswork out of where and when to surf and get you into the less crowded waves. There is nothing worse than turning up to a wave only to be told you should have been here earlier!

Rate: $249.00 per person + tax

Duration: Trips generally range from 4-5 hours, depending on the surf location, with a minimum of 2.5 hours of water time.

These full-day trips are a must for any adventurers keen to see and experience the true Baja desert, filled with donkeys, cactus, and perfect waves. Beginners:
We will focus on developing everything from your board control, paddling, pop-ups and standing and riding some incredible waves!!

Intermediate:
We can continue to develop your skill set by breaking down your maneuvers, positioning and target keys aspects of your surfing through in the water coaching. We will share our local knowledge of the waves in the area and get you perfectly positioned in the surf line-up.

Advanced:
With over 20 waves to choose from in the area, we will get you on those epic uncrowded waves and take the guess work out of where and when to go!

These lessons are designed to teach all the core surfing fundamentals right here in San Jose. Suitable for all age levels (5+). Lessons are also perfect for advanced beginners/intermediate surfers who are looking to fast-track their surfing development.

Explore the rugged coastline of the Baja Peninsula and spend the day relaxing on your own personal beach set up away from the crowded beaches. Sit back with a cold beer, play some bocce, or walk the stunning beaches. Days can be designed to watch the sunrise with a coffee, a sunset with a beer, and everything in between!
