Char your serranos, tomatoes and onion over fire or grill, and if necessary finish them off in a cast iron pan with some olive oil until cooked through (soft).
Place all ingredients in your mortar and pestle (“molcajete”), blender or food processor, and grind ingredients together to your preferred texture and consistency. Enjoy with tortilla chips, huevos rancheros, or fresh handmade corn tortillas with ranchero cheese.
