Explore the majesty and history of Los Cabos with the exceptional tours of Cabo Expeditions. Discover prehistoric rock art, explore the natural landscape via horseback, visit a natural freshwater oasis tucked in the desert, or visit the historic "Faro Viejo" lighthouse of Cabo San Lucas overlooking the breathtaking Pacific Ocean. These tours are not to be missed!

Faro Viejo

Cabo Expeditions Land ToursJust a short distance from the beautiful Cabo beaches is Cabo’s amazing history, both natural and regional! Come with us to explore the splendor the city has to offer while taking a step back in time to dive deep into the area’s rich history.

The three-hour tour begins with a 30-minute guided tour in Cabo’s Natural History Museum. Travel to the ancient and even prehistoric history of Cabo as you examine a zebra fossil and more. Artifacts like these help scientists recreate prehistoric life in Cabo and the surrounding areas and learn more about what the area was like. And don’t miss a closer look at the city’s beginnings, including a fascinating representation of a what a Pericú woman, the aboriginal inhabitants of the region, would have looked like.

After the history of the area stuns, so will the view! A van will pick you up from the museum, and after just a short ride, you’ll find yourself taking in the sights from the magnificent and iconic Faro Viejo, a stunning lighthouse where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez. It truly is the sight of a lifetime.

Includes round trip transportation, certified guide, soft drinks and bottled water.

Country Experience

Cabo Expeditions Land ToursSure, Cabo has amazing nightlife and awesome opportunities for tourists. But there’s so much more than that! The true and breathtaking beauty of Cabo’s countryside is not something everyone gets to see. We make it possible—and one of the best experiences you’ll have on your trip—with our Country Experience tour.

Riding through the countryside on a gorgeous horse, you’ll start your tour exploring some of the most scenic spots in Cabo, including the estuary, where tide meets stream in San Jose del Cabo. Riding on the beach is a treat, and there are plenty of sights to take in during your 45-minute journey.

Once you dismount and leave your horse, your excursion continues close to the roots of the area. These are the scenes you wouldn’t see and the facts you’d never be aware of if you stuck to the beaches! View the hard work that goes into the region’s agriculture, while meeting the farmers who put their heart into their land each and every day. Depending on what season you choose to visit, you’ll see planting, cultivation, or harvest. Each has its own subtle, but intricate artwork. Take up to two hours exploring the farm with an experienced guide, and learn about the spinach, lettuce, mango, papaya, and other crops that grow here.

After riding, learning about the local culture, and watching food grow, you’ll no doubt be hungry! Round out your ride and those amazing views by polishing off a meal of delicious, organic food (including scrambled eggs or eggs Mexican-style with machaca)—directly from the soil to your plate.

Includes round trip transportation, certified guide, organic meal (straight from the ground to your plate), soft drinks and bottled water.

Parietal Painting Tour

Cabo Expeditions Land ToursStep back in time to over 12,000 years ago, and explore the gorgeous sites our ancestors left us! The parietal paintings are incomparable to anything else you’ll see on your trip—a beautiful representation of another civilization and a spiritual journey to our earliest beginnings.

In 7,000 B.C., a nomadic group of gatherers and hunters settled around Cabo San Lucas during their trip through the Baja Peninsula. They left behind many artifacts for us to uncover, including the parietal paintings; parietal meaning prehistoric art on rock walls. You’ll also see clues to how the people lived, their customs, their hunts, and their tools.

Our experienced tour guides will lead you on your journey back in time. Your tour through history will include seeing the parietal paintings at Las Manitas, which is thought to be the ceremonial center for the ancient people. You’ll also have the rare opportunity to visit a Tibetan monastery, located in the Sierra de la Laguna Biosphere Reserve.

At Cabo Expeditions, we want your experience to be more than just a tour. You’ll also have the opportunity to take part in meditation and a nature walk, in addition to history itself. And after your tour to the past is complete, enjoy a delicious lunch!
