The Winery's impressive 2,000 square foot wine cave boasts oak casts where proprietary blends age gracefully

An unforgettable wine, food and entertainment experience located in beautiful Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Mexico. The Los Cabos Winery complex offers state of the art temperature and humidity controlled barrel aging wine cave, blending, bottling and labeling facilities, wine tasting, a wine lounge and a wine and spirits retail store. Our Director of Sales, Julie Byrd, recently dined at the Winery and tells us why it’s one of her faves:

When did you dine at the Los Cabos Winery?
I went for the first time last November on a date with my “other half”. What a romantic, wonderful way to spend the evening! I will definitely be back and I am excited about their new location on the marina.

What wines did you drink? How did you arrive at your choices?
I started with a tasting of the reds they had on the menu that evening. Ended up with a bottle of Argentine Malbec from Finca La Linda in Mendoza that was superb! Can’t finish?!? The owner will insist you take a to-go cup for the road!

I assume you dined at the Winery’s restaurant. What dishes did you order?
We had the meat/cheese plate, the grilled shrimp, the fish special and the Curry Scallops. Everything was reasonably priced and good

Is there any particular dish you would insist your friends try? Curry Scallops. They were AMAZING! I would definitely get this next time I go!

What’s the atmosphere like? Service?
I was intrigued by a winery in Los Cabos, there are signs all over town pointing you in the direction… so I finally decided it was time to try it. The location is in the center of town, a little hard to find but well worth navigating the confusing streets once you get there! Such a cozy atmosphere, you feel like you are in the owner’s living room and that they are just entertaining you! The main dining room feels has the look of a living room with a nice mix of tables, bar tables, and couches. The furnishings are eclectic and comfortable with tons of interesting artwork and finishing’s. The barrel room is a great place for a private event or dinner and has the feel of a Napa winery. They had a live guitar soloist playing softly while we were there and the owner’s were wonderful hosts!

What would you say is your favorite thing about dining at the Winery?
Besides having great wine it would definitely the comfortable, intimate and romantic setting in the middle of town! Very unique place!

Whether it’s a private birthday party, a casual snorkeling cruise to Pelican Rock, an intimate wedding reception while floating on Cabo San Lucas Bay, or a spa party at sea complete with massages and appetizers, we can completely customize events for our customers. We work with the area’s finest caterers and can personalize décor and layout for each event. We also offer public tours including daytime and sunset outings. It’s a very versatile vessel, ideal for groups of 30 people. We also offer a variety of water sports equipment, including snorkel gear and kayaks.

What’s the history of your company? We started as a family-owned business in Acapulco and have been in Los Cabos for over 5 years. We were founded with a commitment to sharing our love of the beauty of Mexico and the environment. We’ve designed tours ranging from our fast-speed Ocean Riders boats to family-friendly activities like La Isla so we can share our passion for this beautiful destination with a wide variety of visitors.

Where does La Isla travel? For snorkel cruises, we stay in Cabo San Lucas Bay and anchor at a great local beach. Visitors who are up for a walk can trek out to Lover’s Beach by the arch from here, and snorkel at Pelican Rock, a very popular location to see all kinds of sea life.

This is a rare opportunity to view one of the most magnificent luxury villas in Cabo San Lucas. The Green Scholarship Program benefits deserving local Los Cabos youth who desire to obtain a college education but lack the financial resources.

We spoke to Cecilia Avalos, one of the program’s founders, to learn more about this great cause:

How did the Green Scholarship Program get started? In the summer of 2006, a member of the community told me about Isaac, a very bright and gifted local student who could not afford to go to college because his family did not have the economic means to support his dream. Issac was well known in the community as an excellent student and a leader. He deserved to fulfill his dream of obtaining a college education. Meanwhile, the Pratt family has called Cabo San Lucas their second home for years and thoroughly enjoy its beauty and people. They were looking for a way to give back to the local Los Cabos community. When we shared Isaac’s story with them, they volunteered to help finance this young man’s college education without hesitation.

Together with the Avalos family of Los Cabos, they started the Green Scholarship Program. Issac was the first GSP Scholar. Soon many students came seeking help in obtaining their dreams. The clear need in the community encouraged us to formalize a program and start the GSP to serve young Los Cabos scholars in need of educational opportunities. The number continues to grow thanks to the generous donations and contribution of friends. We are happy to sponsor 59 students at the moment.
