Huge home, perfectly located in a quiet neighborhood with all the amenities close by. The villa is beautifully decorated. It has everything you need in BOTH kitchens. Dishes, utensils, appliances. They have daily housekeeping and Sonia is a very nice lady. Both levels of the home have large sliding glass doors that let the breeze flow through, being hot was never an issue. The bedrooms have a/c so you always sleep comfortably at night. Or you can leave off the a/c and open your sliding door to feel the breeze. There is a computer on the 2nd level, and wifi. There is also majic jack and free calls if you need to check in at home with family. We didn't even need to use our cell phones on this trip to Mexico! It was great to have it there if we needed it. The owners are very friendly, they will happily visit with you, or stay out of the way. They were more than happy to share with us all the good places to go. These owners don't just run a villa, they love Cabo Now on to the views at Villa del Cabo. It can't get any better than this. You can see the ocean from every angle, the villa sits high above the other homes and at night you can see the lights of the city of Cabo. We spent quite a few evenings sitting in the hot tub looking at the city lights in the distance. Villa del Cabo is truly a place to unplug from the world and enjoy your surroundings. We will absolutely stay at Villa del Cabo again. It was like being at home but in a beautiful place. less
"Retreat Location"
Review from A TripAdvisor Member   | San Francisco, California  April 22, 2013
I brought a group to Cabo for a retreat and was pleasantly surprised by this villa. We had an amazing time. It is an older home but well maintained and certainly offers more than enough as far as service is concerned. We cooked all our meals for 9 people in the upstairs kitchen. The oven takes a little getting used to but it got the job done. Cabovillas arranged for our rental cars, spa treatments and our paddle boarding. We could not have been more happy with all of the companies contracted out by them. I will definitely be booking again both at Villa del Cabo and with Cabovillas.
"Large Villa, conveniently located, excellent panoramic views"

The villa is very conveniently located in the Cabo Bello neighborhood - about 3 km outside of Cabo San Lucas. We rented a minivan for all of our travels and it was very easy to get downtown and there was ample free parking near the mall. We were able to park the minivan right near the entrance to the house, which made it easy to haul in our luggage. It was an easy trip to Walmart (about 7 minutes) to load up on groceries and there was more than enough refrigerator and cabinet space for all of the food and drinks we purchased. We also drove to San Jose del Cabo - an easy drive of 15-20 minutes and again, lots of free parking. I would recommend renting a car if you plan to stay at this location unless you plan to rarely leave the house. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner, Roland. He was very friendly, personable and helpful. He gave us a tour of the house and made sure all of our questions were answered. He and his wife live upstairs and were easily reachable with questions that came up later in the visit. The house was exactly as we had expected. As mentioned in an earlier review, it is not a five-star resort with butler service. It's a large villa at a very reasonable price point. The views from the house and the amazing swimming pool and hot tub were just as pictured on the owner's website. Seriously, I can't go on enough about the views from this house. We actually sat in the hot tub and watched whales jumping in the Sea of Cortes. It was an amazing experience. Regarding the setup of the house, three of the bedrooms are connected - two twin bed rooms off of the king master, all three sharing a large bathroom. This would be a perfect setup for a family with children. The other bedrooms are queens and doubles with bathrooms either in the suite or across the hall. There is a beach down the street that is very very nice. It's about a quarter of a mile down a hill and then 129 steps (we counted) down to the beach. This is a somewhat rocky beach and best for sunning and wading, but it was absolutely gorgeous and not over populated. There are other beaches nearby that are more suitable for swimming. We didn't go to those, but other reviewers have discussed them. There were many good surprises when we arrived. There is a safe for valuables. There is satellite television. There is a computer with internet access. There is also one phone for local use and one phone for dialing the states. Finally, there was both a stereo and a couple of ipod docks. All of this was provided at no extra cost to us. The villa comes with housekeeping services daily. Sonya is very friendly and she makes beds, mops and cleans up. She speaks only Spanish, but was very patient with our attempts to converse with her. The dishwasher in the villa seemed to not be the best of the lot and we opted to wash a lot of our dishes by hand or use plastic cups for simplicity. I think a lot of the people visiting before us might not have rinsed their dishes before washing them. However, this issue was easily remedied. Additionally, the water temperature in the showers seemed to fluctuate at times. These complaints were more than outweighed by the benefits of the house. We booked the villa through and intermediary. If we had it to do again, we would book directly through the owner at www.villadelcabo.net. It was much easier to get information from the owner than through the booking service. I believe the fees would have been the same. If you are looking for a large, reasonably priced villa that is conveniently located, this is the rental for you. The fantastic amenities and stunning views will not disappoint. less
"Best views in Cabo - PERFECT for large groups"

We have stayed in places like that and do enjoy them but for this trip, Villa Del Cabo was perfect and didnít disappoint. We had a fantastic vacation and the house was the center of it all. We had concerns from some of the other reviews but had no problems. Owners met us at car rental place we followed to house where they gave us quick tour and showed us how to use everything. We saw them once or twice again all week even though they live on third floor and had brief, pleasant conversations each time. Pool and hot tub were clean and we used them both every day. This is a private house in a gated community, not a resort. That means it has a septic system, not a whole treatment plant. There was one day when 10 of us took showers within an hour and we did notice a slight odor but it wasnít a problem and completely understandable and went away quick. As for bugs, there are lots in Cabo. We have had them in many resorts in Cabo. This is a house that you can leave wide open to enjoy the breeze at night. We had some moths come, a few ants on the counter if we left something sweet out and a couple palmetto bugs. But this is nothing we havenít seen before at Solmar, Sunset or Riu. The layout is very unique and for our party, it was perfect. (I created a PDF of the floor plan, please message me if you want it.) The downstairs kitchen / living room acted as the food & drink staging for the pool and for the kids living room. The upstairs kitchen and HUGE porch is where spend morning coffee watching sunrise and nights watching sunset. We also used this kitchen for the meals we made at "home". The upstairs area ceiling is just beautiful. Kitchens are very well equipped with everything you need. Two 5 gallon water bubblers, coffee makers, blenders, pots, pans etc. We found a cool video walkthough on youtube from a realtor. Daily maid service was included and she was great. There is a VERY nice little supermarket very close across from Santa Carmella entrance that offered everything you would need. Villa was perfect distance to downtown (5-10 minutes) and 5-10 minutes away from Chileno and Santa Maria beaches which are two of the best snorkeling beaches in Cabo. Was sort of long walk to beach but if you have rental car you can drive and park at two parking lots at private beach. I personally would NOT stay here without rental car unless you plan on sitting by the pool most of vacation. But with a car, it offered us perfect vacation. It IS a little older house and some beds were more comfortable than others. I wouldnít quite say rough around the edges but not sparkling brand new. This gave it nice "homey" feel though and not so sterile like the mega resorts. We really felt like we were living in Cabo. Also felt very safe in community. Feel free to message me any questions... Thank you Roland and Sabine...we will be back. less
